"If I cannot give consent to my own death, whose body is this? Who owns my life?"
To commit the suicide is the chicken way out? Discrimination against person! To commit the suicide is to send oneself to hell? Ignorance due to religion!
Before you raise any objection, read the quote on the top and please answer the questions.
Right now in most countries in the world assisted suicide is illegal. Assisted suicide means to commit the suicide with the help of a third person. Well, that third person is doomed to jail. And still in some countries even suicide by oneself is unlawful. Really, "whose body is this"? Gladly, The federal government of the United States decriminalised attempted suicide in 1972.
My buddy Lung states that "Medical science is pseudoscience"; and its goal is to keep producing zombies, such as those vegatables lying in beds with only breath but no thoughts. By now we have to examine to definition of living. You can very well say, "OK. As long as the guy's heart beats, that's great." But would you please replace "the guy's" with "my" and re-think about it? What did you feel when you had a sleep paralysis, in which you felt your neck hurt but couldn't turn your body? That might be what those vegies are feeling every single second! By what name you are thinking you are saving those people? By what course you forbid them to die?
One thing I want to say to all alleged medical professionals: fuck you all and God damn you all to Hell! You are the real serial killers. You guys make humans even inferior than animals. Even a horse could be euthanised but not a human like you and me.
Some people aruge that "vulnerable" individuals may be coerced into assisted suicide to ease the financial burden of caring for them. However, this is discrimination. If you were in their shoes, you would rather notice the financial burden is a fact instead of your imaginary problem due to weak psyche.
Prohibition of suicide is unconstitutional and agaisnt human rights. (More details need here.)
By the perspective of civilisation, we see humans are able to control more and more aspects of their lives; by that mean, in the end we should be able to determinte our final fate: death, including its time and circumstance.
We humans have come a long way through our civilisation. Along that way, our fathers fought for the abolishment of slavery, for the equal social status of women, for the freedom of African Americans, etc. Today, we need to fight for the right to die!
When the beating of your heart echos the beating of the drums, there's a life about to start when tomorrow comes!
Last but not least, we do not advocate suicide on a general mean. Rather, we advocate the allowance and the assistance of a person who him or herself wants to die.
